My Approach
Evidence. Nuance. Practical Implementation.
There are very few absolutes in AAC. Social media often rewards quick answers and strong opinions, but AAC is rarely that simple. I believe good clinical decision-making happens when we combine the best available evidence with our clinical expertise and the individual needs of the person in front of us. That's the approach I bring to every presentation, consultation, training, and resource I create.
Evidence-Based Practice
I care deeply about what the research says, but I also care about what it doesn't say. My goal is to help clinicians understand the evidence without oversimplifying it.
Practical Implementation
The best recommendation in the world doesn't matter if it can't be implemented. I focus on strategies that work in REAL classrooms, clinics, and everyday life.
Thoughtful Clinical Reasoning
Clinical decisions aren't made by following what’s trending. They're made by thoughtfully considering the evidence, the individual, and the context.
